Hey Genesis Residents!

Prepare to witness a metamorphosis of the Midjourney, brimming with the latest updates, tips, and features designed to ignite your creativity and empower a seamless creative flow.

Whether you're a seasoned pro or a curious newcomer, there's something here for everyone.

Let's get scrolling and rolling!

Midjourney Private Rooms is Here!

“Private Room” is here for you to collaborate with friends and fellow artists in a dedicated space for brainstorming and creating together.

How does it work?

You click ‘rooms’ then ‘create room’ and fill out all the fields.

⭐️ Cool Features in Rooms

  • Text chat and voice chat

  • Text is separated from images, so creation doesn’t affect the chat

  • Drag images into chat to talk about them

  • Make images together, see only your own, or view images that the room has liked

Future Plan

In the future, you can create public rooms without password protection and a global gallery.

Style Explorer for sref

Midjourney recently introduced a “Style Random” that allows us to generate images with different random sref codes that give different aesthetics every time.

In a previous update, Midjourney is working on making a visual dictionary, which will be like an extensive library of different art styles.

The idea is to make it easy for users to find and use all kinds of art styles. They are now planning for an exploration tool for style.

Your coordinates come in 2 forms:

  • Style "codes" and

  • Image references

When you lock in on particular coordinates, you send MJ to a specific location w/ unique "vibes" & "aesthetics" breaking free of Midjourney’s default training data

Now, your prompts are influenced by the location

These locations influence the medium, color, lighting, and overall aesthetic interpretation of your text prompts

The top 2 rows are the generic Midjourney outputs for the prompt "portrait of a woman"

The bottom 2 rows are the same prompt, but with --sref 668702311 applied

Okay, so where did that code I just used come from?

It's literally random

There are 2^32 style codes (4,294,967,296)

Each code serves as coordinates to a unique location in style space

Here are different prompts generated using --sref 668702311

See how they're all related?

But you don't always need to use a code

you can also provide Midjourney coordinates in the form of an image reference, and images work exactly like codes

When you use an image, Midjourney analyzes it, & determines the coordinates in style space directly from it

So, the image is the code

You can even use multiple images, blending the styles from each together to create something unique

But, if you're new to using these, try with just 1 image first to get familiar with the effect, then try adding 1 or 2 more

You should be able to decipher what each does visually

sref and cref

sref and cref will remain the same until the release of V7. Be prepared for new versions!

My Top 10 Picks of Midjourney “sref code”

Midjourney V6 has just introduced Style Random recently

If you type --sref random, it'll replace it in your prompt with a random code like --sref 123456 , and then if you type that number back in like --sref 123456, you'll be able to get back to that style again

Replicate A Style Easily with --sref code

Instead of using the image as a style reference, you can now use the number together with --sref.

As I experiment and play with these features, I have found some fantastic styles.

1. sref 576319645

Photorealistic, all-white boho setting with neutral tones and natural lighting

2. sref 1383069436

3. sref 2588288438

Dark fantasy surrealistic style with green tones and distorted perspectives

4. sref 576319646

5. sref 3057108216

7. sref 3857233541

8. sref 2073139338

9. sref 1320348550

10. sref 3057108216

Explore and Experiment

Don’t hesitate to experiment with different combinations of the sref codes. Each code is a new adventure.
